Praça do Giraldo is the route from the cathedral church to the Capela dos Ossos. There isn't much to see or do here.

HISTORY

  • Built from 1186 to 1204

  • Largest Cathedral in Portugal

  • Transition from Romanesque to Gothic style

  • Statues outside are apostles from the 17th century. XIV

  • On the central altar, there is our lady of the angels (or our lady of the 3rd)

  • Here the flags of Vasco da Gama's fleet were blessed in 1497
