Sintra Historic Center

Despite being a very interesting palace, it is not included in this itinerary! Who knows, maybe on your next visit to Sintra?

WHAT TO SEE

An obligatory stop is to try the Travesseiros de Sintra at Café Casa Periquita! For your information, there are two paraquita restaurants on the same street, if the first one is closed, walk a few meters further and see their second store =)

HISTORY

  • Founded in 1862

  • The name Periquita was a nickname given by King D. Carlos I to Constancia Gomes, owner of the place at the time.
